Kelly has dedicated over fifteen years to retirement plan consulting. In 1999 she founded (k) Consulting Group, a firm dedicated to retirement plan services. Kelly has earned a strong reputation by assisting companies retool and improve their qualified plans, and has been instrumental in building meaningful retirement income for thousands of participants.
Prior to (k) Consulting Group, Kelly gained valuable pension experience in the financial services sector as a pension sales and marketing executive. Kelly worked for several global financial services companies where she was directly responsible for the development and growth of new and existing qualified plans from $5M to $100M in plan assets. Prior to and during her career, Kelly has lived and worked throughout the United States and Europe, and is able to provide her clients with perspective gained from this broad geographical experience.
Kelly holds a B.A. Summa Cum Laude in Political Science from the University of Southern Maine in Portland, Maine where she was an Honors Program Scholar. She also holds a J.D. from the Lawrence Drivon School of Law, Humphreys College in Stockton, California. She is designated an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® through the Center for Fiduciary Studies in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Kelly also serves on the Boards of several charitable foundations. Michael Bonetti

Mike is a Bay Area native and received his BS degree in Business Administration from the University of California Berkeley and earned his MBA degree in Finance, Marketing, & Entrepreneurial Studies from The Anderson School of Business at University of California Los Angeles. He joined D|A Financial Group as a Registered Investment Advisor after working over 10 years in Institutional Equity Sales and Management, and Individual Financial Planning. Mike has worked at some of the area’s premier investment firms. Mike currently resides in Danville, California and enjoys running, skiing, and coaching youth baseball and football.

Dan Garfin

Dan specializes in the design, implementation and management of employee benefits and retirement plans for both for-profit and not-for-profit companies. Dan began his career in 2000 when he helped develop a proprietary insurance & benefits exchange for mid-sized companies headquartered in California. After a quick growth and eventual sale of the exchange Dan easily transitioned into becoming a broker/advisor, and joined D|A Financial Group in 2005.
Dan is local to the Bay Area and a graduate from The Head Royce School in Oakland, CA and University of California, Berkeley. At Cal, he was a member of the varsity baseball team where he earned academic honors in the Pac-10 and served on the Captain’s Council during his senior year. Dan is a Lifetime member of the California Alumni Association and Big C Society, and an active member of Rotary International. In the industry Dan participates in the Northern California Employee Benefits Council and Western Pension & Benefits Conference.
Dan is licensed in both Life & Health and Fire & Casualty Insurance, and is both an Investment Advisor Representative and Registered Representative with NFP Securities, Inc.

Greg Guardiano

Greg joined D|A Financial Group in January 2008 with five years of prior experience in financial services. During the previous 15 year period, Greg worked as an engineer and mathematician, both domestically and internationally. His achievements include teaching math at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California and serving six years in the U.S. Navy. Greg holds masters degrees in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida and in applied mathematics from the Johns Hopkins University, making him uniquely qualified to head the firm’s financial planning unit.
Extensive world travel has instilled in Greg a passion for different cultures, languages and foods. Although an instrument-rated commercial pilot, Greg prefers the thrill of flying aerobatics. Hiking, mountain-biking, snow-skiing, and reading also fill his spare time. Most of all, Greg enjoys the time he spends with his son.

Sally joined D|A Financial Group in 1974. She holds a degree in Economics from UC Berkeley where she graduated with highest honors. As a shareholder in D|A Financial Group, Sally works with business owners and human resource professionals to design, implement and administer benefit programs that meet the needs of both employers and employees. She was awarded the professional designation of Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) by The American College in 2000 and the designation of Registered Employee Benefit Consultant (REBC) in 2004.
In the community, Sally is a current member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Nonprofit and Public Leadership at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a former Advisory Board member for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas, an outreach program for disadvantaged youth. She also serves as a community member on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Summit Medical Center in Oakland, California. The IRB oversees all experimental research on human subjects conducted at the medical center.
Sally and her husband Ray are California natives and lifelong residents of the Bay Area.

John began his career as an accountant with a Fortune 500 Company. Since 1995, he has focused his financial skills on employee benefits and retirement plans. John joined D|A Financial Group in 2000 after working for a major insurance carrier to expand the Employee Benefit and Retirement plan divisions. He is an advisory board member for NFP Benefit Partners, a group of 160 nationwide firms serving 30,000 clients. He also holds advisory positions with both medical and ancillary line insurance companies. He has considerable experience in alternative funding for employee benefits and is a tremendous resource in the design, implementation and servicing of retirement plans.
John is a University of Arizona graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Accounting/Finance. John also holds the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary. He currently resides in Orinda, California with his wife Jennifer and two children. In his spare time, John enjoys golf and snow skiing.

Michele Kohl
Michele began her career in the financial services industry as a Licensed Premier Banker II at Wells Fargo Bank where she managed premier customer portfolios. She joined D|A Financial Group in 2007 as a highly experienced registered representative, holding Series 7 & 66 licenses. At D|A, Michele focuses on developing asset allocation strategies, investment management due diligence, retirement planning and seamless client service.
Michele is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Outside of work, her interests include reading, traveling, working out and spending time with family and friends.

Julie Morrison

Julie is D|A Financial Group’s in-house specialist for individual health insurance, Medicare, disability insurance and long-term care insurance. She joined D|A in 2008 with a strong background in the insurance industry, having earned achievement awards as a top producer from both Aetna and Anthem Blue Cross.
Julie holds a degree in Communications from California State University, Chico. She and her husband Craig reside in Orinda where Julie has served her community for many years as an active volunteer with the local elementary school and neighborhood swim club. Her interests outside of work include skiing and attending her children’s sporting events.

John received certification as a Strengths Performance Coach (level 1) from Gallup Consulting in 2009. He currently resides in Martinez, CA with his wife Jessica and two children. Ted is a shareholder with D|A Financial Group having joined the firm immediately following graduation from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Ted holds the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) awarded by The American College and is a long time member of the prestigious Advanced Association of Life Underwriters (AALU).
In the community Ted has served as President of the 18,000 Member Haas Business Alumni Association and on a variety of committees at the Haas School of Business. In 1994 Ted was honored with the Raymond E. Miles Alumni Service Award and the Trustees Citation from the UC Berkeley Foundation. Ted was a founder of the first California community-based fund raising organization for Yosemite National Park. In recognition of their service, Ted and his wife were honored with a permanent plaque in Yosemite National Park in recognition of completion of the “Happy Isles” project.

Bob began his career in the financial services field in 1961 upon graduation from the University of California, Berkeley. His first position was with a Provident Mutual Life agency where he helped guide the organization into a full service brokerage firm, D|A Financial Group. Within the newly created firm, Bob founded D|A Employee Benefits Insurance Services and serves s as its President. He holds the industry designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
An Orinda resident, Bob has always been active in his community. He was founding director for Lamorinda National Bank, past President of the Orinda Country Club, Vice President of Cal Golf, an Advisor for the Delta Upsilon Fraternity, and a Past National Trustee and Sr. Vice President of Ducks Unlimited, Inc. As a former Eagle Scout, Bob has maintained interest in the Boy Scouts of America and has served as District Chairman. Bob is an avid sportsman and enjoys golfing, skiing, fly-fishing and waterfowl hunting, depending on the season. Most of all, he enjoys time with his two young grandchildren.
